Award Criteria & Requirements

Criteria:

  1. Growth and Success: The business should have demonstrated significant growth and success over the past year, which may be measured by an increase in revenue, customer base, or market share.
  2. Innovation: The business should have demonstrated innovation in its products, services, or business practices. This may include the development of new products, implementation of new technologies, or adoption of new marketing strategies.
  3. Community Involvement: The business should have made a positive impact on the local community through charitable donations, volunteer work, or other means.
  4. Environmental Stewardship: The business should have demonstrated a commitment to environmental sustainability through practices such as recycling, energy efficiency, or use of renewable resources.
  5. Workplace Culture: The business should have a positive workplace culture that fosters employee satisfaction, productivity, and growth. This may be demonstrated through employee retention rates, employee surveys, or other means.
  6. Industry Leadership: The business should have demonstrated leadership within its industry through participation in industry events, advocacy for the industry, or other means.

Requirement:

  1. Location: To qualify for the award, the business must be located and operating in the state of Alaska. This ensures that the award is focused on businesses that are contributing to the local economy and community.
  2. Years in operation: The business should have been in operation for a minimum of 2 years to demonstrate a track record of success and stability.
  3. In good standing: The business must be in good standing with all regulatory bodies that oversee its operations, including state and federal agencies.
  4. Positive reputation: The business must have a positive reputation in the local community, which may be demonstrated through customer reviews, testimonials, or other means.
  5. Commitment to ethical business practices: The business should have a demonstrated commitment to ethical business practices, including compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and a commitment to fair and honest dealings with customers, suppliers, and employees.

These requirements help ensure that the award is given to businesses that meet certain minimum standards of performance, reputation, and ethics, and that have demonstrated a commitment to the local community and economy.
